Energetic Tune Up

One of the common themes of these blogs is your energetic system’s need for maintenance. Everyday the stresses of living can take us out of balance. Our chakras can be overactive or underactive, our auras congested, and our energy system as a whole dirty with negative energy that will ultimately manifest itself in physical, mental, or emotional ailments. It is for this reason that I believe so strongly in Pranic Healing because it is a way of “tuning up” and maintaining our energy systems. But I recognize that these terms “tune up” and “maintenance” are loaded and may give you the wrong impression of just what your energy body needs.

Our view of maintenance is doing work to keep a system running and prevent a larger problem from appearing. The classic example is getting the oil changed in your car. With fresh oil, you should be all set to drive for another 3000 miles. But our environment, diet, relationships, emotions, and thoughts all play a role in our energetic health and all of these factors can be unpredictable. As a result, your energetic health will constantly be changing and periodic “maintenance” may not be enough.

The truth is, maintaining good energetic health is more like tuning a guitar than it is like “tuning up” a car. Anyone that has played a guitar knows that you cannot tune that instrument, leave it for days or weeks, and expect it to still be in tune. Temperature, humidity, how a guitar is played, stored, or transported, all affect how the wood and strings stretch or contract and the sound they make. Therefore, tuning a guitar is probably something that has to happen every time before you play because there are so many factors that can turn the notes sharp or flat that need to be corrected.

This is exactly the case with your energy system. The environment you live in, the food you eat, the people you interact with, and the thoughts you populate your mind and aura with ultimately determine your energetic well being. If those factors are unhealthy, you won’t be able to go 3000 miles between oil changes.
