One of the great traditions of Halloween is visiting a “haunted house”. The fake cobwebs, fog machines, spooky costumed actors, and the anticipation of something jumping out from behind the next corner are as much a part of the Halloween season as carving pumpkins and eating too much sugar.
But what about the real haunted houses of the world? I think for many of us, we will acknowledge that some places are legitimately “haunted”. We may debate ghosts and spirits but we would agree that there are places where the energy is dark and the feeling is unnerving, or even sinister. For whatever reason, intense bad energy has concentrated in these areas and the effect is quite palpable.
But this effect is not unique to a few rare and mysterious haunted sites. The negative energy that we accumulate in our auras gets deposited in the places we live, work, dine, study, and sleep. We carry it with us and spread it across our offices, schools, and home.
A stressful day at the office, a bully on the playground, a spat with a spouse, a depressing news reel, a violent movie, divisive media, resentment from colleagues, disingenuous friendships, business struggles…These are all too familiar things that pollute our aura. They take a toll on our health and they linger when we deposit them in the places we stay.
While you probably do not see Casper in your attic, your house may, in a sense, be haunted. It may be anger, past trauma, anxiety, stress or bitter resentment that are damaging the energetic feel of your home, taking a toll on your wellbeing, or hampering your recovery. Pranic healing, space clearing, meditation, and a host of other healthy energetic practices can turn this around and help you take back your home without having to call the Ghostbusters.
