“When your prana is clean and plentiful, you are in good physical and mental health. When your prana is low or dirty, you typically experience some type of health problem (Co et al., 2013).”
So, what exactly is this prana? The word prana means energy. This is the energy that sustains all living things. Keeping the energy of our being in a healthy state means that we have the fuel to maintain our bodies and minds at a peak level.
However, this system also needs to be properly maintained. Exposure to toxins, germs, negative emotions, injuries, among others can wear down our energy levels of healthy fresh energy and leave us depleted or congested with negative/used energy. When our energetic anatomy is not able to expel used energy and intake fresh/healthy energy naturally our energetic anatomy is out of balance and if left as such, will mirror in our physical body and/or emotional/mental being.
How do we naturally take in prana?
We naturally take in three types of prana from the world around us:
Air prana (energy from the air)
Solar prana (energy from the sun)
Ground prana (energy from the earth)
The amount of energy we are able to exchange is going to be influenced by the quality and amount of natural prana options that we have access to. If you live in a location where the air has significant pollution, this is going to impact the amount and quality of the air prana you are able to intake. If you do not spend time outside, it is going to be difficult to have access to solar prana or ground prana.
We are also able to indirectly take in small amounts of all three types of prana from our food; however, the amount and quality is highly affected by the quality of food that is consumed. Fresh fruits and vegetables, which are free of pesticides and were allowed to ripen naturally, are going to have the most and highest quality prana of all the food options.
These pranas are absorbed by corresponding chakras which then digest the prana and break it down into its usable components for the body.
When this system breaks down and is unable to balance the expelling of used energy with intaking new energy to fuel your body, this is when ill health occurs. This can be seen with challenges in physical health or mental/emotional health. If you need help to restore this balance and return to a state of health, Pranic Healing can help you with this.
